SALARY - $39 000 - $49 000 + SUPER (Depending on experience)

About the Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic team member to join Regional Finance Brokers office in Dubbo.  This is an opportunity to join a fast-paced 100% locally owned non-franchised small business team. You must be eligible to enrol and complete a Traineeship, Certificate III in Business over a 12-month commitment, with study time at work, modules will include some relevant to Finance and Mortgage Broking.

As a trainee your role will be to learn in the workplace, assisting all facets of the Senior Mortgage Broker with day to day tasks. Upon successful completion of the Traineeship, there could be the opportunity to advance to a CERT IV in Mortgage Broking if you desire.​

What you'll be doing:

  • Communicating effectively with clients and lenders by phone and email, in a timely manner

  • Entering database notes, saving, scanning electronic files, including calendar bookings

  • Analysing electronic information, cross-checking detail and updating database in preparation of mortgage applications

  • Preparation and completion of electronic applications compliantly

  • Tracking loan applications and updating clients, lenders, conveyancers and real estate agents

  • Assist in general marketing Facebook & Instagram


Ideal Skills & Experience 

  • Experience in a high volume customer environment or retail environment including real estate or administration is highly desirable but not essential

  • This is a fast-paced environment and you must have excellent time management skills, be driven to succeed but also be able to contribute positively and respectfully

  • Have strong verbal and written skills

  • Ability to build strong relationships with clients, lenders, conveyancers and real estate agents

  • Excellent attention to detail and excellent computer skills

  • You must have an interest in our industry, be proactive to succeed and have a can-do attitude

  • Have the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team

  • Comfortable operating within strong compliance and administrative framework

  • Be well presented, enthusiastic, be positive and professional 

  • Be self-disciplined and have good time management to complete the Traineeship within the timeframe

  • Have proven experience and be confident with excellent communication skills via email and phone

  • Have proven computer navigation skills and experience with a client database

  • Have proven ability to be motivated and focused and pay attention to small detail

  • It is integral that you are able to maintain a high level of confidentiality

  • Have a desire to establish a career in the finance industry

  • Have the ability to learn and be willing to undertake initial and ongoing study
